{ }Nuestra misión es promover los derechoshumanos y el fortalecimiento de las democraciasen América Latina.Our mission is to promote human rights andstrengthen democracy in Latin America.La piedra angular del trabajo del CDH es la capacitaciónde profesionales mediante Diplomas de Postítulo en DerechosHumanos. Cada Diploma aborda un área temática específica ysu meta es entregar las herramientas necesarias para avanzaren la agenda de derechos humanos de los países de la región.La actividad docente a nivel de pregrado también forma partecentral de nuestro trabajo en la Facultad de Derecho de laUniversidad de Chile.Con el fin de contribuir al progreso, enseñanza ydifusión de la disciplina de los derechos humanos, el CDHrealiza proyectos de investigación que se han traducido ennumerosas publicaciones. Éstas pueden ser descargadaslibremente en nuestro sitio web. El CDH cuenta además condos publicaciones periódicas: el Anuario de Derechos Humanos,libro que sirve como guía y referencia respecto del desarrollonacional, regional e internacional en materia de derechoshumanos y campos afines, y el Boletín de Jurisprudencia de laCorte Interamericana de Derechos Humanos.Otro aspecto del trabajo del CDH está enfocado enel análisis y la planificación estratégica en problemáticas dederechos humanos en América Latina, especialmente en lasáreas de transparencia y anticorrupción, y de mujeres y derechoshumanos.The cornerstone of the work carried out by the CDHis to train professionals through our Post-Graduate FellowshipProgram in Human rights. Each course addresses a specificsubject area and the goal is to provide the necessary tools toadvance the human rights agenda in all countries of the region.Undergraduate teaching is also a vital aspect of the work carriedout by the CDH at the School of Law of the Universidad deChile.In order to contribute to the progress, teaching anddissemination of the field of human rights, CDH carries outresearch projects, resulting in numerous publications that canbe downloaded free of charge from our websites. The CDH alsohas two periodical publications: the Human Rights Yearbook, apublication that serves as guide and reference point on regionaland international developments in the field of human rights andrelated fields, and the Bulletin of Case Law of the Inter-AmericanCourt of Human Rights.Another line of work carried out by the CDH focuses onthe analysis of and strategic planning for human rights problemsin Latin America, particularly in the areas of women´s humanrights, and transparency and the fight against corruption.2
