Como Secretaría de Desarrollo Económico estamos muy
entusiasmados con esta publicación, pues nos permite presentar
a inversionistas nacionales e internacionales la cara de la nueva
Honduras que como país estamos construyendo.
Nuestra nación está ya preparada para competir en el mundo con
productos de primera calidad, con mano de obra calificada, con
todo un aparato logístico que facilita el comercio internacional y
con reglas claras para el inversionista.
Han pasado tres años del Gobierno del Presidente Hernández y
los resultados en materia de inversiones y generación de empleo
son tangibles.
Con el acompañamiento del sector privado, lanzamos el
programa de Desarrollo Económico y Generación de Empleos
Honduras 2020, mediante el cual hemos recorrido el mundo
ofreciendo las grandes ventajas de inversión que ofrece nuestro
país.
Hoy estamos ante los ojos del mundo y ya se nos ubica como uno
de los tres países con el mejor clima de negocios en el continente.
Esta es la Honduras que estamos construyendo, un país con una
economía sólida y ordenada.
La calificadora internacional de riesgo Standard & Poor’s (S&P)
anunció a mediados de julio de 2016 la mejora de la calificación
de estable a positiva, mientras Moodys, el 24 de mayo de ese
mismo año anunció la mejora de B3 positivo a B2 positivo.
El Informe Doing Business, publicado por el Banco Mundial,
incluye a Honduras entre los países más atractivos para invertir
en América Latina, así como también remontamos 12 escaños en
el Índice de Competitividad Global 2015-2016 del Foro
Económico Mundial.
Por otro lado, el Fondo Monetario Internacional en la última
revisión del programa económico reconoció que la mayoría de las
reformas estructurales están avanzando, y que la administración
tributaria se está fortaleciendo.
El mundo reconoce que nuestra nación está cambiando, y por
ello creemos oportuno el lanzamiento de esta publicación
Directorio Orquídea Empresarial que contiene esa información
vital y valiosa para seguir promoviendo negocios en nuestra
querida Honduras.

President Hernández's assumed
administration, and the results in
terms of investment and job creation are tangible.
In joint cooperation with the private sector, we launched the
Economic Development and Employment Generation Program
Honduras 2020. With the program we have traveled the world
offering great investment advantages.
We are ranked as one of the three countries with the best business
climate on the continent.
This is the Honduras we are building, a country with a solid and
orderly economy.
The international rating agency Standard & Poor's (S & P) announced
in mid-July 2016 the improvement of our rating from stable to
positive, while Moody’s on May 24 of that same year announced a
positive B3 improvement to B2 positive.
The Doing Business Report, published by the World Bank, includes
Honduras amongst the most attractive countries to invest in Latin
America, as well as 12 seats in the Global Competitiveness Index
2015-2016 of the World Economic Forum.
On the other hand, the International Monetary Fund during their last
economic program revision recognized that most of the structural
reforms are advancing, and that the tax office administration is solid
and efficient.
The world recognizes that our nation is changing, and for this reason
we feel it is an appropriate time to launch this publication Orquidea
Empresarial Directory which contains this vital and valuable information
to continue promoting business in our beloved Honduras.
