El nuevo Patscherkofelbahn permite a todos acceder a la emblemática montaña de Innsbruck. En invierno lleva a esquiadores y snowboarders directamente hasta la pista, y en verano los excursionistas pueden divisar durante el trayecto las rutas de senderismo que les esperan. Así, el Patscherkofel se consolida aún más como destino de ocio para la capital tirolesa durante todo el año. La montaña también es conocida por las particulares condiciones de viento, ya que las velocidades de viento extremas no son algo infrecuente en el Patscherkofel. Por eso, el teleférico se equipó especialmente para esas circunstancias: el bajo guiado de los cables con una supervisión continua de la situación del cable (RPD), pesos adicionales en el suelo de las cabinas para un punto de gravedad más bajo y la posibilidad de funcionamiento individual de los dos tramos garantizan un viaje seguro y una elevada disponibilidad. La tecnología de teleféricos más novedosa de la D-Line promete a sus pasajeros el máximo confort. 57
