Vegetarianism…crime or lifestyle?
Do you really know what the expression “go vegan” really stands for? We all believe to know what
vegetarianism is, we have all heard of it. And well, for those who haven’t, vegetarianism is the practice
of not consuming any kind of meat or fish, for whatever reason. This concept should not be mistaken
with veganism, which is the practice of not consuming any food that’s derived from animals, and
generally not making use of anything related to animal mistreatment up to some point (like tested
makeup, fur products, etcetera).
As a vegetarian person myself, I felt like talking about this topic because sometimes vegetarians/
vegans and non-vegetarians get into big arguments about how the other’s point of view is wrong. And
honestly? Both sides are valid. What’s not valid is trying to tell the others that their morals are wrong.
That’s why, I interviewed both a vegetarian and a non-vegetarian teacher to analyze their thoughts,
and these were the results.
Vegetarian teacher answers:
Why/how did you get into vegetarianism?
“For ethical reasons. I didn’t want to contribute to animal mistreatment.”
Is there something you don’t enjoy about being one?
“I enjoy everything about being a vegetarian.”
What would you say to young vegetarian people if you had the chance to talk to one?
