The FIDMarseille stands head and shoul<strong>de</strong>rs above the rest as the place to be for<br />
documentary creation, each year cover<strong>in</strong>g the diversity and richness of the sector<br />
thanks to a selection of challeng<strong>in</strong>g works from the whole world.<br />
The M<strong>in</strong>istry of Foreign and European Affairs is equally keen to welcome the festival’s<br />
work for broadcast<strong>in</strong>g around the world the ’Hors les murs,’ program, which is based<br />
on the selection. To the credit of this <strong>in</strong>itiative new c<strong>in</strong>ematographic writ<strong>in</strong>g which is<br />
multiple and <strong>in</strong>novative is put forward to the public. Examples of countries <strong>in</strong>volved<br />
<strong>in</strong> 2007: Argent<strong>in</strong>a, Spa<strong>in</strong>, Venezuela, Vietnam, Tunisia, Morocco...<br />
The M<strong>in</strong>istry of Foreign and European Affairs is therefore particularly keen to cont<strong>in</strong>ue<br />
support<strong>in</strong>g the festival, which is otherwise establish<strong>in</strong>g itself as a privileged partner<br />
of the French cultural network abroad for the programm<strong>in</strong>g of documentaries.<br />
The M<strong>in</strong>istry of Foreign and European Affairs wishes the FIDMarseille, along with Jean-<br />
Pierre Rehm and his team, every success for the <strong>2008</strong> edition.
