■ After every 5 hours of operation, clean in warm soapy<br />

water, rinse, and let dry completely. Replace with a<br />

new filter after every 25 hours of use.<br />

Note : An alternate method is to clean the filter with<br />

compressed air. Always wear eye protection to avoid<br />

eye injury.<br />

■ Reinstall the air filter.<br />

Note : If you use an air hose for drying, blow through<br />

both sides of filter.<br />

CAuTION:<br />

Make sure the air filter is correctly replaced<br />

before reassembly. Never run the engine without<br />

the air filter, serious damage could result.<br />

Use a brush to keep the cooling vents of the starter<br />

assembly free and clean of debris.<br />

Because parts can fracture and pose a danger of thrown<br />

objects, leave repairs of the flywheel and clutch to factory<br />

trained authorised service centre personnel.<br />

■ Remove the screws and Engine cover as described<br />

previously.<br />

■ Clean the Engine fins.<br />

■ Lift the chain brake over the post.<br />

■ Lay the chainsaw on its side with the bar and chain<br />

on the ground.<br />

■ Remove the chain lubricant and fuel caps.<br />

■ Remove the three screws that hold the starter<br />

housing in place.<br />

■ Lift off the starter cover and set aside.<br />

■ Replace chain lubricant and fuel caps to prevent<br />

contamination during cleaning.<br />

■ Clean the flywheel fins.<br />

■ Replace the starter housing. Reinstall screws and<br />

secure.<br />

■ Replace the chain lubricant and fuel caps.
