Pursuant to s. 44(4)(b), and s. 53(1)(d), of Act No.<br />
85/1996 Coll., the Legal Profession Act, as subsequently<br />
amended, the Board of the Czech Bar Association has<br />
adopted the following resolution:<br />
Art. 1<br />
Amendment of the Resolution of the Board of the<br />
Czech Bar Association Defining the Rules for<br />
Publication of the Official Journal of the Czech Bar<br />
Association<br />
Resolution of the Board of the Czech Bar Association<br />
No. 1/2001 of the Journal, defining the rules for the publication<br />
of the Official Journal of the Czech Bar Association,<br />
is hereby amended as follows:<br />
1. In Article 1 a new paragraph 2 is inserted after paragraph<br />
1. The wording of the new paragraph is as follows:<br />
“(2) In the title of the Journal, the Czech title shall<br />
be followed by its translation in English (Official Journal<br />
of the Czech Bar Association), French (Journal officiel<br />
de l’Ordre des avocats tchèque) and German (Amtsblatt<br />
der Tschechischen Rechtsanwaltskammer).”.<br />
Current paragraph 2 shall be renumbered as paragraph<br />
3.<br />
2. In Article 3, letter b), a new item No. 7 is inserted.<br />
The wording of the new item 7 is as follows:<br />
“7. translations of professional regulations, their<br />
consolidated texts and editor’s errata notes in the English,<br />
French and German languages (Art. 5a),”.<br />
Current item 7 shall be renumbered as item 8.<br />
3. The following new Article 5a is inserted after Article 5:<br />
“Art. 5a<br />
Translations of Professional Regulations<br />
(1) Adopted professional regulations, their consolidated<br />
texts and editor’s errata notes shall also be published in<br />

the Notification Section of the Journal in translation into<br />
the English, French and German languages. As for newly<br />
published professional regulations, their translation shall<br />
be published in the same issue of the Journal as the Czech<br />
version.<br />
(2) The Czech version of professional regulations,<br />
published in the Notification Section of the Journal, shall<br />
always be considered the authentic one.<br />
4. In Art. 6, the wording of letter a) shall be as follows:<br />
“a) to attorneys-at-law and established European<br />
attorneys-at-law, namely to their office registered<br />
in the Register of Attorneys-at-Law or in<br />
the Register of Established European Attorneys-at-Law,”.<br />
5. In Art. 7, paragraph 1, the wording of letter a) shall be<br />
as follows:<br />
“a) to attorneys-at-law and – if a decision concerning<br />
the imposition of the disciplinary measure<br />
of public warning upon an established European<br />
attorney-at-law is published in the special<br />
section of the Journal – also to established<br />
European attorneys-at-law.”.<br />
Art. 2<br />
Transitory Provisions<br />
Effective professional regulations, as subsequently<br />
amended, which still have not been published in English,<br />
French and German translations shall be published in the<br />
aforesaid languages in the Notification Section of the<br />
Journal at the latest by the end of 2004.<br />
Art. 3<br />
Effect<br />
This resolution shall be effective as of the thirtieth day<br />
of its publication in the Journal.
