Preparations
19.2. Filling / draining
Take care that no liquid enters the interior of the immersion thermostat CT 52.

Filling
• Recommended maximum filling level with water (WATER) as the
bath liquid is the top edge of the window.
• Recommended maximum filling level with oil (OIL) as the bath
liquid is 20 mm below the top edge of the window.
Draining
• Press the mains switch to turn the transparent thermostat off.
• Disconnect the power plug from the mains socket!
CT 53:
• Empty the bath tank (With water as bath liquid use a water
dispense pump, for example).

• Slide a short piece of tube onto the drain port (17) and hold it into
a pail.
• Unscrew the drain tap (18) and empty the unit completely.
• Tighten the drain tap.
Exercise CAUTION when emptying hot bath liquids!
19.3. Using Micro-Ubbelohde Viscometers with TC Sensors
Bath lid A with holder for Micro TC Viscometers.

Open the screw and turn bracket upward.
Insert the viscometer vertically to the maximum.
Turn bracket downward and tighten the screw.
