Safety recommendations 22. Safety recommendations Follow the safety recommendations to prevent damage to persons or property. Further, the valid safety instructions for working places must be followed. • Connect the unit only to a grounded mains power socket. • Ensure secure attachment of the circulator. • Some parts of the bath cover and the pump connections may become extremely warm during continuous operation. Therefore, exercise particular caution when touching these parts. • Exercise caution when emptying hot bath liquids! • Employ suitable connecting tubing. • Make sure that the tubes are securely attached. • Avoid sharp bends in the tubing, and maintain a sufficient distance from surrounding walls. • Regularly check the tubing for material defects (e.g. for cracks). • Before cleaning the unit, disconnect the power plug from the mains socket. 23. ATC - Absolute Temperature Calibration Thermostat (T T ) Measuring point (T M ) ATC serves to compensate a temperature difference that might occur between circulator and a defined measuring point in the bath tank because of physical properties. The difference temperature is determined (∆T= T M - T T ) and stored as correcting factor (example ∆T = -0.2 K). • Press the cursor key and enter at the same time. • The MULTI-DISPLAY indicates "Atc0". • With the edit keys select "Atc1" and then press enter . • Using the cursor keys and the edit keys set the correcting factor and then press enter . (example -0.20 K) • Press and at the same time. The temperature on the measuring point rises to a temperature of 37.00 °C and is indicated on the MULTI-DISPLAY. Measuring point T M Note: The correcting factor always affects the actual working temperature, even if this is set via the interface. The ATC function stays activated until resetting to 00.00 °C.
Electrical connections 24. Electrical connections Connection of flow-through cooler CK 300 The flow-through cooler CK 300 is connected to pins 1 and 3. For the connection use the shielded control cable supplied with the cooler. Circuit: Operation = relay powered Alarm = relay not powered Pin assignment: Pin 1: +24 V ( max. current 25 mA) Pin 2: 0 V Pin 3: Alarm relay Pin 4: Reserved - do not use! Pin 5: Cooling pulse RS 232 C RS232C serial interface This port can be used to connect a computer with an RS232C cable for remote control of the circulator. Pin assignments: Pin 2 RxD Receive Data Pin 3 TxD Transmit Data Pin 5 0 VD Signal GND Pin 6 DTR Data terminal ready Pin 7 RTS Request to send Pin 8 CTS Clear to send Interface correspondence: Circulator Computer (9-pole, male) (25-pole, female) Pin 2 RxD Pin 2 TxD Pin 3 TxD Pin 3 RxD Pin 5 GND Pin 7 GND Pin 6 DTR Pin 6 DSR Pin 7 RTS Pin 5 CTS Pin 8 CTS Pin 4 RTS Use shielded cables only.
