(Britten’s Serenade) and Gidon Kremer. Altstaedt also holds the<br />
post of Kapellmeister for Deutsche Oper am Rhein, Düsseldorf<br />
where he con<strong>du</strong>cts pro<strong>du</strong>ctions of La Bohème, Carmen, Così<br />
fan tutte, Le nozze di Figaro and Hänsel und Gretel. This season,<br />
Christoph Altstaedt appeared with the Trondheim Symphony<br />
Orchestra, Helsingborg Symphony Orchestra, NDR Radiophilharmonie<br />
Hannover, Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen and<br />
in January 2013 made his UK debut with the Royal Scottish National<br />
Orchestra. Further ahead in the 2013/14 season, Altstaedt<br />
will make his debut with the Stuttgart Philharmonic, Radio-Sinfonieorchester<br />
Stuttgart, and the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra.<br />
He will also perform with the Deutsche Radio <strong>Philharmonie</strong><br />
Saarbrücken Kaiserslautern, the orchestra of Opéra de Marseilles,<br />
Junge Deutsche <strong>Philharmonie</strong> and return to NDR Radiophilharmonie<br />
Hannover. Recent guest appearances included a<br />
performance with the Stuttgarter Kammerorchester, Münchner<br />
Kammerorchester at the Kagan Music Festival in Kreuth in Summer<br />
2012 and a concert with the Potsdamer Akademie as part<br />
of the UNESCO celebrations in Potsdam. In August 2011 Altstaedt<br />
con<strong>du</strong>cted Germany’s Bundesjugend-orchester on a major South<br />
American tour. Between 2006 and 2007 Christoph Altstaedt<br />
con<strong>du</strong>cted a number of pro<strong>du</strong>ctions at the Munich State Opera<br />
including La traviata, Die Zauberflöte and Werther. Guest con<strong>du</strong>cting<br />
engagements have included the MDR Sinfonieorchester<br />
Leipzig, Bamberger Symphoniker, Staatskapelle Weimar, Komische<br />
Oper Berlin and Beethovenorchester Bonn.<br />
