Operat<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong>structions• The electric drive is fitted with a <strong>the</strong>rmal protection switch and is not designed forpermanent operation. If <strong>the</strong> drive overheats, because of frequent extensions and retractions,it will switch off automatically, no matter which position <strong>the</strong> awn<strong>in</strong>g is <strong>in</strong>. Theelectric drive will operate aga<strong>in</strong> after a <strong>cool</strong><strong>in</strong>g-off period of 10 – 45 m<strong>in</strong>utes, depend<strong>in</strong>gon such factors as <strong>the</strong> outside temperature, power output and roller position<strong>in</strong>g.• Sun protection systems with electric drives cannot be retracted <strong>in</strong> a power failure,caused by a storm, for example. If you leave <strong>the</strong> house for a longer period for holidaysor <strong>the</strong> weekend, we recommend sett<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong> automatic control system to manualoperation.• In automatic operation, <strong>the</strong> area of extension and retraction must be free of obstacles.The sun protection system must be operated <strong>in</strong> accordance with <strong>the</strong>se <strong>in</strong>structions. O<strong>the</strong>ruses are improper. STOB<strong>AG</strong> cannot accept liability for damage caused by improper use.3.0 Care and ma<strong>in</strong>tenanceWhen clean<strong>in</strong>g or servic<strong>in</strong>g sun protection systems with electric drives, ensure that <strong>the</strong>power is switched off to prevent accidental extension or retraction.3.1 Care and ma<strong>in</strong>tenance of mechanical partsAs a rule, all mechanical parts are low-ma<strong>in</strong>tenance.Occasional lubrication of movable parts (plastic conductorsetc.) with a suitable lubricant (silicon spray) as well asregular checks / ma<strong>in</strong>tenance by an approved STOB<strong>AG</strong>specialist are highly recommended and can <strong>in</strong>crease <strong>the</strong> lifeof <strong>the</strong> glass roof system and awn<strong>in</strong>g.Extend <strong>the</strong> awn<strong>in</strong>g cover fully for clean<strong>in</strong>g. Clean <strong>the</strong> framewith a household cleaner for sensitive surfaces.The downpipe filter for <strong>the</strong> gutter as well as <strong>the</strong> gutter itself must be regularly cleaned <strong>in</strong>accordance with <strong>the</strong> degree of pollution (leaf and moss deposits). O<strong>the</strong>rwise this leadsto <strong>the</strong> blockage of <strong>the</strong> dra<strong>in</strong>age pipes and to <strong>the</strong>m overflow<strong>in</strong>g.
