GENERAL2.1 IntroductionThis handbook contains the necessary instructions forinstallation, use and maintenance of the swimming poolelectropump. In order to obtain the maximum yield shown bythe manufacturer in the Description of Characteristics, it isnecessary to fulfil and follow correctly all the recommendationsgiven in this-Handbook. This will allow operation with a safeand long-lasting piece of equipment. The equipment supplierwill furnish the user with complementary information, ifrequired.2.2-Safety signs used in the handbook.All instructions referring to possible risks to persons arehighlighted by the followings symbols:Standard DIN 4844-W9Danger in generalStandard DIN 4844-W8Danger of electrocution.Other instructions in relation to the functioning of theequipment with which non-compliance could cause physicaldamages are highlighted with the warning: A<strong>TT</strong>ENTION2.3 Nameplate ratings (EEC 89/392 P.1.7.4.A.) Theinformation given on the nameplate or other instructions affixedby the manufacturer to the unit, must be strictly complied with.The content of these plates can usually be found in thisHandbook (Chapter 1.2).2.4 Liability. Failure to comply with the instructions given bymanufacturer in this handbook, in relation to the choice,handling, installation, starting and maintenance of the unit,shall release the manufacturer or distributor from all liability inrespect of accidents suffered by persons or damages causedto other installations and, in addition, shall entail forfait of thewarranty.2.5 Standard. Our swimming pool electropumps aremanufactured in accordance with the necessary requirementsfor safety and health set forth in Community Directives89/392/EEC, 91/368/EEC (assimilated into Spanish Law byRoyal Decrees, 1435/1992 and 93/44/EEC).3 GENERAL INS<strong>TR</strong>UCTIONS IN RELATIONS TO USERSAFETY.3.1 Safety during operation of the machinery suppliedcan only be guaranteed if it is used in accordance with thediagrams show n on page 11-12 “Illustrations”. It must neverexceed the working conditions and limits given in thisHandbook (chapter 1.2 – Technical Characteristics).Compliance with the provisions of Safety Standards in force ineach country is mandatory.3.2 Please ensure that the equipment selected isadequate for the use for which it is intended and that itscondition, installation, starting and subsequent use are correct.See chapter 1 (Technical Characteristics).3.3 Installation, repair and maintenance operations willbe carried out in all cases with equipment disconnected fromthe mains.3.4 While the equipment is functioning, it cannot bemoved or repositioned. These operations will be carried out atall times with the machine disconnected.3.5 Pressing of the electrical on/off or safety elementswill not be performed where there is damp, and special caremust be taken for user’s hands to be dry, and also withfootwear and surfaces with which the user is in contact.3.6 Those elements of the equipment which, whenfunctioning, are in movement or which could reach dangeroustemperatures, will be protected with cages or casings whichwill prevent accidental contact with the same.3.7 Electricity conductors, or parts which could carrycurrent, will be suitably insulated. Other metal parts of theequipment will be correctly earthen.3.8 Spare parts that may be necessary will be originalsfrom the manufacturer or those recommended by themanufacturer. The use of others, or originals rectified byothers, are not permitted and release the manufacturer ordistributor from all liability.4 PACKING, <strong>TR</strong>ANSPORT AND STORAGE4.1 A<strong>TT</strong>ENTION. The manufactured supplies the equipmentprotected in suitable packaging, so that it is not damagedduring transport or storage thus preventing its correctinstallation and/or functioning.4.2 A<strong>TT</strong>ENTION. The user, upon receipt of the equipment, willimmediately check the following points:5
