Before providing information about anyparticular firm or any product manufacturedby it, the competent authority of themanufacturing Contracting State shall notifythe manufacturer.2. The manufacturer may at any timewithhold his consent to information relatingto his firm or to any product manufacturedby him being disclosed to the competentauthority of another Contracting State. Insuch a case the withholding of consent shallbe notified to the competent authority of theContracting State concerned, which may:(a) where the information withheld relatesto the general standards ofmanufacturing practice in the particularfirm, regard any product of themanufacturer;(b) where the information withheld relatesto a specific product only, regard thatspecific product; as being a product inrespect of which full information hasnot been provided in accordance withthis Convention.1.
