The 35 th edition of <strong>IFTM</strong> Top Resa<br />

has been a success despite a<br />

difficult economic environment.<br />

The number of professionals grew<br />

by 2.4% - almost achieving the<br />

30,000 mark (29,480 exactly).<br />

Hall 7.2 hosted <strong>IFTM</strong> Top Resa<br />

2013 over an area of 27,000<br />

sqm. Almost 1,200 brands, were<br />

distributed via 348 stands; an<br />

increase of 10% from the previous<br />

edition. Of the 160 destinations<br />

present this year, 11 were also<br />

new: Cape Verde, Belarus, Ethiopia,<br />

Goa, Haiti, Libya, Panama, Puglia,<br />

Norway, Mauritania and Mongolia.<br />

60 tour operators were present,<br />

among which 22 as well as the<br />

SETO were grouped within the TO<br />

village.<br />

The Networking Village, meanwhile,<br />

hosted five major distribution<br />

brands, including a new network,<br />

Prêt à Partir, which rubbed<br />

shoulders with the more familiar<br />

brands such as the TUI Group<br />

(Marmara-Nouvelles Frontières),<br />

Selectour AFAT, Carrefour Voyages<br />

and the CEDIV.<br />

The Business Club consisted of<br />

specialists in Business Travel,<br />

including 50% new exhibitors<br />

such as Eva Air, Europcar, Choice<br />

Hotels, CIBT Visa, Emirates, Galiléo<br />

Travelport, Hcorpo, I Albatros,<br />

Logis International, Presence24,<br />

and Teldar.<br />

The fair also hosted many<br />

personalities: 18 Ministers and<br />

Deputy Ministers, the former<br />

footballer of New Caledonian<br />

origin, Christian Karambeu, without<br />

forgetting Sophie Jovillard, presenter<br />

on France 5 of the magazine<br />

“Echappées Belles” and a charming<br />

ambassador of the show. It was with<br />

her complicity, as President of the<br />

Jury of the Travel Agents Cup, that<br />

the best travel agent was elected.<br />
