GB A graduate of ENSAD, Elisabeth
Jayot is a designer and researcher in
the first group of doctoral candidates
in the “Theory and practice in fashion”
programme, initiated by the University
of the Sorbonne in collaboration with
the IFM. She endeavours to reconcile
a longer lifespan with the pleasure
of the new, which is inherent to fashion,
and explores the potential offered
through modularity in clothing by
turning to new technologies. In time,
she hopes to offer on-demand, local
production of personalised clothing,
which will be easy to change in line
with trends, desires and needs.
FR Diplômée de l’ENSAD, Elisabeth
Jayot est designer et chercheuse au sein
de la première promotion du doctorat
«Théorie et pratique de la mode» initié
par l’Université de la Sorbonne en
collaboration avec l’IFM. Tentant de
concilier l’allongement de la durée
d’usage et le plaisir du renouvellement
inhérent à la mode, elle explore les
possibilités offertes par la modularité
dans le vêtement en recourant aux
nouvelles technologies. À terme, elle
souhaite proposer une production locale
et à la demande de vêtements
personnalisés qui seront facilement
transformables au gré des tendances,
des envies et des besoins.
