LETTER<br />

We are in the season of "Thanksgiving". So<br />

many when that word is heard, think of<br />

food. LOL, I know I do, but not just food, but<br />

family...Memories with friends and families.<br />

The smells of Thanksgiving. The colors of<br />

Thanksgiving. The spirit of Thanksgiving.<br />

The Bible says: "Give thanks in all<br />

circumstances; for this is the will of God in<br />

Christ Jesus for you." "This is the day that<br />

the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be<br />

glad in it." "And let the peace of Christ rule<br />

in your hearts, to which indeed you were<br />

called in one body. And be thankful."<br />

For some of us, saying thank you to God<br />

before a meal is a common ritual—so<br />

common, perhaps, that we don’t think<br />

about why we do it. But we learn this<br />

practice from Jesus; in the Gospels He often<br />

gives thanks before He eats or feeds<br />

someone else. He even gives thanks for the<br />

bread and wine that symbolize His body<br />

and blood at the last supper with His<br />

disciples.<br />
