2. <strong>Quarantine</strong> requirements <strong>for</strong> the importation <strong>of</strong> “Prohibited <strong>Plants</strong> or Plant Products” verified<br />
<strong>and</strong> approved by the Bureau <strong>of</strong> Animal <strong>and</strong> Plant Health Inspection <strong>and</strong> <strong>Quarantine</strong> <strong>of</strong> the<br />
Council <strong>of</strong> Agriculture, the Executive Yuan.<br />

1. The importation <strong>of</strong> the fresh fruit<br />
from countries or districts where<br />
the Mediterranean fruit fly is<br />
known to Occur shall comply with<br />
the following requirements:<br />
(1)The importation <strong>of</strong> fresh fruits<br />
from Netherl<strong>and</strong>s shall comply<br />
with the “<strong>Quarantine</strong><br />
Requirements <strong>for</strong> The <strong>Importation</strong><br />
<strong>of</strong> Fresh Fruits from The<br />
Netherl<strong>and</strong>s.”<br />
(2)The importation <strong>of</strong> fresh fruits<br />
from the Region III to Region X ,<br />
Region XIV <strong>and</strong> Metropolitan<br />
Region <strong>of</strong> Chile shall comply<br />
with the “<strong>Quarantine</strong><br />
Requirements <strong>for</strong> The <strong>Importation</strong><br />
<strong>of</strong> Fresh Fruits from Chile.”<br />
(3) The importation <strong>of</strong> fresh grapes<br />
fruits from Peru shall comply<br />
with the "<strong>Quarantine</strong><br />
Requirements <strong>for</strong> The <strong>Importation</strong><br />
<strong>of</strong> Fresh Fruits from Peru."<br />
(4)The importation <strong>of</strong> fresh citrus<br />
fruits from Spain shall comply<br />
with the “<strong>Quarantine</strong><br />
Requirements <strong>for</strong> The <strong>Importation</strong><br />
<strong>of</strong> Fresh Fruits from Countries or<br />
Districts Where The<br />
Mediterranean Fruit Fly Is<br />
Known to Occur.” The fruit<br />
should be treated by one <strong>of</strong> the<br />
following cold treatment: core<br />
temperature at 34 ℉ <strong>for</strong> 14 days,<br />
core temperature at 35 ℉ <strong>for</strong> 16<br />
days, or core temperature at 36 ℉<br />
<strong>for</strong> 18 days.<br />
(5) The importation <strong>of</strong> the fresh fruit<br />
from other countries or districts<br />
shall comply with the<br />
“<strong>Quarantine</strong> Requirements <strong>for</strong><br />
The <strong>Importation</strong> <strong>of</strong> Fresh Fruits<br />
from Countries or Districts Where<br />
The Mediterranean Fruit Fly Is<br />
Known to Occur.”<br />
