The importation <strong>of</strong> fresh grapes fruits<br />

<strong>of</strong> Peru shall comply with the<br />

“<strong>Quarantine</strong> Requirements <strong>for</strong> The<br />

<strong>Importation</strong> <strong>of</strong> Fresh Fruits from<br />

Peru.”<br />

3. Hong Kong, Singapore, <strong>and</strong> Macau are free ports <strong>and</strong> there<strong>for</strong>e regarded as areas <strong>of</strong> all pests<br />

listed in enterable plants or plant products under precautionary requirements.<br />

4. If the plants or plant products listed in the above table are not originated from, but are unloaded<br />

<strong>and</strong> transshipped through the countries or districts listed in the table, they will be treated as the<br />

plants or plant products which shall comply with the precautionary requirements.<br />

5.To apply <strong>for</strong> importation <strong>of</strong> plant or plant product <strong>for</strong> the first time from a country or district<br />

where is in the immediate vicinity <strong>of</strong> a quarantine pest area, <strong>and</strong> has similar climate <strong>and</strong> crops to<br />

those <strong>of</strong> the area, but has insufficient reports or no report at all about the pest status, the<br />

importer or the agent shall submit in<strong>for</strong>mation as follow to obtain approval <strong>for</strong> the importation<br />

from the Bureau <strong>of</strong> Animal <strong>and</strong> Plant Health Inspection <strong>and</strong> <strong>Quarantine</strong> <strong>of</strong> the Council <strong>of</strong><br />

Agriculture, Executive Yuan.(BAPHIQ)<br />

5.1 The <strong>of</strong>ficial survey data <strong>and</strong> the general surveillance record <strong>of</strong> the pest. The duration <strong>of</strong><br />

survey shall be in compliance with the time period required in the “Procedures <strong>for</strong><br />

Recognition <strong>of</strong> Pest Free Areas.”<br />

5.2 The in<strong>for</strong>mation <strong>of</strong> cultivation management <strong>of</strong> the plant/plant product, including producing<br />

areas, yield, harvest season <strong>and</strong> the post-harvest process.<br />

5.3 The pest list <strong>of</strong> the plant/plant product, including the in<strong>for</strong>mation <strong>of</strong> pest control <strong>and</strong> the list<br />

<strong>of</strong> chemical used.<br />

5.4 The export inspection procedure <strong>and</strong> the procedure <strong>of</strong> issuing the Phytosanitary Certificate.<br />

After the document review is cleared, if necessary, BAPHIQ will dispatch quarantine<br />

<strong>of</strong>ficers to assess <strong>and</strong> verify pest status in the country or district. When the country or district<br />

is approved as pest free area <strong>and</strong> the pest risk assessment <strong>of</strong> the plant/plant product is also<br />

approved, BAPHIQ will then permit the importation <strong>of</strong> plant/plant product from the country or<br />

district, in accordance with import quarantine requirements.<br />

6. <strong>Importation</strong> <strong>of</strong> lilies, gladiolus, <strong>and</strong> dahlia bulbs shall comply with the “<strong>Quarantine</strong><br />

Requirements <strong>for</strong> The <strong>Importation</strong> <strong>of</strong> Lilies, Gladiolus, <strong>and</strong> Dahlia Bulbs.”<br />

7. <strong>Quarantine</strong> requirements <strong>for</strong> importation <strong>of</strong> timber will be published by the Council <strong>of</strong><br />

Agriculture in later time.<br />

8. <strong>Plants</strong> listed below are subjected to post-entry quarantine:<br />

(1) <strong>Importation</strong> <strong>of</strong> the following living plants or propagates (excluding seeds <strong>and</strong> fruits) shall be<br />

subject to post- entry quarantine at nurseries designated by the BAPHIQ.<br />

A. <strong>Plants</strong> subject to a quarantine period <strong>of</strong> at least two years:<br />
