34 Peresani et al. Gli insediamenti epigravettiani al Palughetto
Fig. 13 - Palughetto MN.
Fig. 13 - Palughetto MN. Bladelet cores and their diacritical schemes: 1 - Operative scheme 1: core on shatter. A single phase of exploitation
is recorded on the ridge of the blank. 2 - Operative scheme 2a: core on slab exploited through 3 successive flaking surfaces. The
first (A) lied on the large side of the blank for extracting few bladelets in sequence; the second (B) involves the extraction of a bladelet
along the distal ridge of the slab which then is used as a striking platform to support the third surface (C) on the side ridge of the cobble.
3 - Operative scheme 2b: core on flake structured with 2 successive flaking surfaces and one single striking platform; the two opposed
surfaces (A and B) use the natural convexity of the sides (photo and diacritic scheme R. Duches).
