Tomba dei Giocolieri
La denominazione deriva dal soggetto della decorazione
dipinta sulle pareti, intesa a celebrare i giochi e le danze
in onore del defunto. La tomba, scavata nel 1961,
consta di un unico vano, con soffitto a doppio spiovente.
Sul pavimento si trovano gli incassi per i piedi dell'unico
letto funebre. Datazione: fine VI secolo a.C.
The burial chambers were so named due to the
decorative frescoes which depict games and dances in
honour of the deceased. The tomb was excavated in
1961 and is a single chambered cell with a sloping roof.
On the floor there are the footings for a single funeral
bed. This tomb is dated from the late 6th century B.C.
Tomba Cristofani
La tomba fu scavata nel 1961 ed è costituita da
un'unica camera con soffitto a doppio spiovente con
tre grandi loculi sulle pareti. Il loculo sulla parete di
fondo è a forma di edicola, piccolo tempio, con il tetto
a doppio spiovente e il columen in rilievo. Sia sulle
pareti della stanza che dei loculi sono rappresentate
figure di danzatori e musici. La tomba è stata recentemente
dedicata all’etruscologo Mauro Cristofani.
Datazione: prima metà del IV secolo a.C.
These burial chamber was discovered in 1961 and
constitute a single chamber with a double-slanted or
sloping roof and three large indentations or recesses
in the wall known as loculus. The loculus at the end of
the chamber is shaped like a small temple, with a
sloping roof and a cross beam in relief motif. On both
walls and in the niches there are dancing figures and
musicians. This tomb was recently dedicated to the
Etruscologist, Mauro Cristofani and is dated the first
half of the 4th century B.C.

Tomba del Padiglione di Caccia
La tomba rappresenta un padiglione, una tenda, che
viene montata durante le battute di caccia.. La stoffa
che costituisce le pareti è leggera e quasi inconsistente
e permette di vedere a chi è dentro il padiglione
il paesaggio esterno. In basso le pareti laterali e
quella di fondo sono occupate da un’alta banchina
continua dove erano posti gli oggetti di corredo e in
posizione centrale la kline, o letto funebre, con il
corpo del defunto. Datazione: fine VI secolo a.C.
The tomb represents a pavilion, a large tent which is
set up during the hunt. The fabric of the pavilion
painted on the walls is light and transparent so that
those inside can see the landscape outside. On the
lower portion of the side walls and at the rear portion
of the chamber there is a high platform or bench-like
projection upon which funeral relics were placed. In
the center of the chamber lies the kline or couch
which served as the funeral bed upon which the body
of the deceased was lain. Dated: End of the 6th
century B.C.

Tomba del Fiore di Loto
La tomba, scoperta nel 1962, è costituita da una
camera quadrangolare con soffitto a doppio spiovente.
La decorazione pittorica è molto semplice, consiste
infatti di fascioni paralleli che corrono alla sommità
delle pareti e felini in posizione araldica nei frontoncini
delle pareti corte. Datazione fine VI secolo a.C.
This burial chamber was excavated in 1962 and is
composed of a single square chamber with a sloping
roof. The decorative paintings are very simple and
consist of parallel bands that run along the top
borders of the walls, and felines; these beasts are
posed in heraldic positions in the pediments of the
shorter walls. Dated: End of the 6th century B.C.
