Dall’ultimo anno del secolo scorso, con il dlgs. N°261/99
l’Italia ha iniziato ad adeguare la sua normativa sui servizi
postali alla legislazione europea, introducendo una parziale
liberalizzazione del settore, permettendo quindi alle imprese
private l’esercizio del SERVIZIO POSTALE.
Nei primi anni del nuovo millennio, nel 2004 per la precisione,
a Bosisio Parini il lungimirante dottor Filippo Fronterre organizza
il primo servizio di posta privata “SOFIPOST®” in Italia.
Inizialmente i “SOFIPOST Point” sono pochi, ovviamente, ma
in breve tempo si moltiplicano su tutto il territorio nazionale.
La proposta innovativa di SOFIPOST® consiste nell’offrire
al cliente non solo il recapito, ma anche la raccolta della
corrispondenza, direttamente presso il mittente. Fino a ieri si
andava alla posta, adesso è SOFIPOST® che viene da te per
ritirare plichi e corrispondenza (posta prioritaria, raccomandate,
assicurate, piego di libri, riviste, pubblicità, pacchi fino a 3 kg e
altri servizi di spedizione).
SOFIPOST® nel rispetto delle norme di legge si rivolge
a imprese, organizzazioni, professionisti e pubblica
amministrazione.
SOFIPOST® è un servizio postale a tutti gli effetti, tenuto conto
che il suo timbro apposto sulla corrispondenza ha valore legale
come quello di Poste Italiane.
Il SOFIPOST® Point di Como propone una novità nella novità:
utilizza infatti nella distribuzione cittadina un mezzo innovativo
ed ecologico. Si chiama “Segway” ed è un veicolo elettrico
dotato di una piantana, due ruote laterali e un lungo manubrio.
Importato dall’America, è già molto diffuso in alcuni Paesi
europei. Ideale per muoversi in città senza fare code, senza
problemi di parcheggio e di emissioni inquinanti.
Nel settembre 2006, data di apertura del Point di Como, i
SOFIPOST® Point in Italia erano circa 20, a settembre 2007
abbiamo già superato quota 60 e visto il trend di crescita è
realistico pensare che per la fine dell’anno raggiungeremo una
più ampia diffusione. Altro dettaglio importante che evidenzia
la crescita sta nel fatto che da luglio 2007 SOFIPOST® non è
più una s.r.l., ma è diventata una S.p.A.
Di recente SOFIPOST® ha iniziato un nuovo servizio di
altissimo valore sociale: PHARMAPOST®, che si occupa del
recapito a domicilio dei referti diagnostici.
Questi pochi dati evidenziano le potenzialità di crescita di

Since the end of the last century, with legal decree No.
261/99, Italy has been updating its regulations on postal services
to European standards, introducing a partial liberalization
of this area and therefore allowing the entrance of private
companies in the POSTAL SERVICE’s management.
In the first years of the new millennium, and precisely in 2004,
in Bosisio Parini, farsighted Dr. Filippo Fronterre organized the
first private postal service “SOFIPOST®” in Italy.
Initially the “SOFIPOST Points” were few, of course, but in a
short time they multiplied throughout the country.
The innovative service offered by SOFIPOST® consists in
providing the client not only with the delivery but also with
the collection of mail, directly at the sender’s site. Up until
yesterday you used to go to the post office, now SOFIPOST®
comes to you to collect your mail (ordinary mail, express
mail, insured mail, books, magazines, advertising, packages
up to 3 kg and other shipment services).
Operating as provided by the current legislation, SOFIPOST®
is intended mainly for companies, organizations, professionals
and the public administration.
SOFIPOST® is a complete postal service, considering that
the postage stamp that is applied to all correspondence has
legal value just like that of the Italian Postal Service.
The SOFIPOST® Point in Como offers a novelty within the
novelty: in fact for city deliveries it uses a new and ecological
vehicle. It’s called “Segway” and it is an electric vehicle with
a flat board, two side wheels and a long handle. Imported
from the States, it is already widely used in some European
countries. It is ideal for moving around the city as it avoids
queues, parking problems and pollution.
In September 2006, when the Como Point opened, the SO-
FIPOST® Points in Italy where about 20, in September 2007
we are already beyond 60 and considering the growth trend
we can realistically presume they will reach an even wider
spread by the end of the year. Another important detail that
emphasizes the growth factor is that from July 2007 SOFI-
POST® is no longer an Limited Company but a Joint-Stock
Company.
Recently SOFIPOST® has started a new service with an extremely
high social value: PHARMAPOST®, delivers medical
reports directly at home.
These few data show SOFIPOST®’s growth potential that is
still huge, in offering a service that is increasingly efficient
and widespread.
