EXHIBITION OF PHOTOGRAPHS (pag.54)
“Long Chin San-Mario Finazzi. Landscape photography between modern
techniques and ancient tradition.” - GAMeC
I Maestri del Paesaggio, GAMeC (Gallery of Modern and Contemporary
Art) and Allianz Bank together, are to organize an exhibition in Bergamo
dedicated to the master of Chinese photography. 32 original shots, that bring
to life the poetry of the oriental landscape, by the photographer Long Chin
– San (Zhejiang 1892-1995) from Bergamasco photographer-collector Mario
Finazzi’s collection will be on exhibit during the Event.

PIAZZA VERDE IN PIAZZA VECCHIA
Piazza Vecchia, made over in keeping with the 2014 focus of the “The Healing
Landscape”, will show visitors a singular and enchanting beauty using an
original setup designed by landscape architects Peter Fink and Lucia Nusiner
together with Maurizio Quargnale for the lighting.

INAUGURAL TOUR OF PIAZZA VERDE IN PIAZZA VECCHIA
A preview of Piazza Verde explained by the designers, London’s artist/landscape
architect Peter Fink (6 september), together with L.Nusiner, M.Quargnale
and nursery owner M.Crescini (6,9 and 17 september).
An opportunity to enter the heart of the Event and truly understand the theme,
the Healing Landscape, discovering the reasoning behind the shapes, materials,
colors and plants chosen for Piazza Verde.
catalogue of herbaceous perennials and grasses (care of Vivaio Valfredda) with the
forniture and lighting by Smeg, Pacchiarini, and Led Luce e Dintorni, along with
the SMEG Bistrot and sampling of ‘green’ foods provided by some restaurantmembers
of Le Tavole di Bergamo Alta. There will also be locally-grown organic
vegetables oon sale at a stand set up by the Cooperativa Sociale Biplano.

PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST “OBIETTIVO SULLA PIAZZA VERDE” (pag.56)
The photography contest sponsored by Gardenia and Bell’Italia, in collaboration
with Nikon returns in its third edition. There will be prizes for the three best
photographs taken of Piazza Vecchia during the event.

Arketipos, in collaboration with D Repubblica and Le Tavole di Bergamo Alta is
proud to invite you to try the “flagship recipe”, winner of the recipe competition
“Green Food e gli chef del Paesaggio”. Come and try the “Foliage: Pasta
with beetroot and pistacchio” by Laura de Leo in all the restaurants partner
(Le Tavole di Bergamo Alta) during the 16-day event and also at the Green
Dinner on 20th September (registration is recommended on arketipos.org).

EXHIBITION ON “GREENHOUSE EFFECT” - GAMEC
An exhibition of restorations made by the prisoners of Bergamo and Voghera,
brought together by Giovanni Fornoni, who worked together with them to
restore an antique herbarium dating back to the 1800’s. The exhibition also
includes works on plants and flowers by Giacomo Manzù.
Inauguration: 9th September, 6.30 pm.

GUIDED TOURS OF HISTORICAL HOUSES
During the Event, it will be possible to visit some of the some of the most
beautiful historical residences of the Province of Bergamo. The public will be
guided through frescoed halls rich in history, secluded courtyards decorated in
greenery, and through historical gardens.
