John Brookes (UK)<br />
Ha progettato e costruito ben più di 1000 giardini nel corso di una<br />
carriera che dura da 50 anni. Gestisce uno studio di progettazione<br />
per la creazione di grandi e piccoli giardini, in tutto il Regno Unito e<br />
all’estero. È conosciuto per la sua capacità di creare giardini che si<br />

Christian Dobrick - West8 (NL)<br />
Nato a Berlino, Christian Dobrick si è laureato in Architettura <strong>del</strong><br />
<strong>Paesaggio</strong> presso l’Università di Essen. Durante i suoi studi partecipò<br />
in vari bandi, sia nazionali che internazionali, collaborando con diversi<br />
studi a Ruhrgebiet. Diventò head designer e poi managing director<br />
presso Rheims and Partner, Krefeld (Germania). Insieme ad altri<br />
professionisti, partecipò con successo a vari concorsi. Ha progettato<br />
molti spazi verdi e giardini pubblici. All’inizio <strong>del</strong> 2006, entra a far parte<br />
<strong>del</strong>lo studio West 8 Urban Design & Landscape Architecture come<br />
Project Manager e Landscape Architect, specializzato in architettura<br />
<strong>del</strong> paesaggio e nella progettazione dei spazi pubblici. Tra i suoi lavori<br />
più prestigiosi sono Madrid RIO, al centro di Madrid, Spagna e il Parco<br />
Santa Giulia, Milano, Italia.<br />
John Brookes has designed and built well over 1000 gardens during a<br />
career spanning 50 years. He is as active as ever and runs an extremely<br />
busy design practice, creating gardens large and small, all over the UK<br />
and abroad. He is best known for his ability to create gardens that relate<br />
to their environment, designing gardens that fit into the wider landscape;<br />
that best suit the style and period of the house and the functional and<br />
stylistic aspirations of his clients. His extensive portfolio includes traditional<br />
English gardens both formal and informal, modern, minimalist, Islamic<br />
and wild gardens. He has won numerous awards throughout his career<br />
including 4 Gold medals at Chelsea. Wi<strong>del</strong>y regarded within the garden<br />
design world as an innovative and inspirational designer and plantsman,<br />
he is regularly quoted as a source of inspiration in the media. He is also a<br />
successful and prolific author, having written 24 best selling books, and<br />
countless articles for newspapers and magazines. He lectures on garden<br />
design in the UK and overseas and runs a design school in Argentina.<br />
Christian Dobrick graduated in landscape architecture from the University<br />
of Essen. During his studies he participated in many national and<br />
international competitions for studios from the Ruhrgebiet area. He<br />
became head designer, and later managing director, at Rheims & Partner<br />

Gabriele Kiefer (DE)<br />
Ha studiato architettura <strong>del</strong> paesaggio presso l’Università di Berlino<br />
e successivamente ha lavorato come assistente universitaria 1992.<br />
Nel 1989 ha fondato lo studio Büro Kiefer a Kreuzberg, Berlino e<br />
nel 2011 lo riorganizza dando il nome KieferCS insieme ai partner<br />
Tancredi Capatti e Matthias Staubach. Ha vinto vari concorsi per<br />
la sistemazione dei grandi spazi e piazze urbane. Lavorando come<br />
docente universitaria ha partecipato a vari convegni: San Francisco,<br />
Boston, Santiago <strong>del</strong> Chile, Montreal, Shenzhen, Parigi e Milano. Nel<br />
2002, le è stata assegnata una cattedra in Architettura <strong>del</strong> <strong>Paesaggio</strong><br />
all’Università di Braunschweig e dal 2011 tiene lezioni all’Universidad<br />
Austral de Chile, Valdivia.<br />
Gabriele G. Kiefer studied landscape architecture at the TU Berlin and<br />
worked there as an academic assistant from 1987 to 1992.<br />
1989 she founded Büro Kiefer in Kreuzberg, Berlin; 2011 reorganised as<br />
KieferCS (partner: Tancredi Capatti, Matthias Staubach)<br />
Kiefer has been successful in many competitions for the conversion<br />
of large areas and urban squares. Lecturing jobs and exhibitions have<br />
taken Kiefer to locations including San Fransisco, Boston, Santiago de<br />
Chile, Montreal, Shenzhen, Paris and Milan. In 2002 Gabriele G. Kiefer<br />
was appointed to a Professorship for Landscape Architecture at the<br />
University of Braunschweig and since 2011 she has taught regularly at the<br />
Universidad Austral de Chile, Valdivia.<br />
Catherine Mosbach (FR)<br />
Laureata in Natural and Life Sciences e diplomata in Landscape<br />
Architecture (ENSP Versailles 1986). Apre il suo studio a Parigi nel<br />
1987. Co-editrice e co-fondatrice <strong>del</strong>la rivista Pages Paysages<br />
(1987). Realizza progetti paesaggistici unici a Monaco, negli USA, in<br />
Canada, in Cina, in Israel, nel Vietnam e in Francia. Premi: Trophée<br />
du Paysage (Ministero francese per l’ambiente e sviluppo, 1995) per<br />
le aree esterne <strong>del</strong>la sede <strong>del</strong> gruppo Dolet, Issy-les-Moulineaux.<br />
Premio Rosa Barba (3° ed.) per il Giardino Botanico di Bordeaux.<br />
Premio nazionale per il paesaggio - Ministero francese per l’ambiente<br />
e sviluppo – per il giardino botanico (2007). Premio Emilio Ambasz per<br />
l’architetture <strong>del</strong> verde, parco <strong>del</strong> Musee Louvrelens 2011.<br />
Catherine Mosbach graduated in Natural and Life sciences and is a<br />

Trophée du Paysage - awarded by the French Ministry of the Environment<br />
and Development in 1995: special commendation for exterior spaces of<br />
the E. Dolet group in Issy-les-Moulineaux. The Rosa Barba Award for the<br />
Botanical Garden of Bordeaux, 3rd European Biennial Barcelona. National<br />
award of landscape by the French Ministry of the Environment and<br />
Development nominated for botanical garden, 2007. The Emilio Ambasz<br />
Award for green architecture for museum park Louvrelens, 2011.
