An error message appears when using voice-related software programs<br />
Double-click Yamaha DS-XG Audio Config in Control Panel. Open the Echo tab<br />
<br />
and deselect the Enable check box. Click OK.<br />

If you are using several voice-related software programs at the same time, close<br />
them.<br />
About the modem<br />
My modem (PC card) doesn’t work<br />
Check that your PC card is pro<strong>per</strong>ly inserted into your computer (label side facing<br />
<br />
up).<br />
Check that your PC card modem has been detected by the system.<br />
<br />
Check that the phone line is plugged into your PC card.<br />
<br />
Check that the phone line is working. You can check the line by plugging in an<br />
<br />
ordinary phone and listening for a dial tone.<br />
Check that the phone number the program is dialing is correct.<br />
<br />
Check that the communication software you are using is compatible with the PC<br />
<br />
card: make sure that the driver selected in your communication software matches<br />
your PC card programming (refer to your communication software user manual).<br />
Check that your PC card modem responds to AT-commands by doing a<br />
<br />
diagnostics test: Click Start, gotoSettings, click on Control Panel, then select<br />
Modems and click the Diagnostics tab. Select the COM One Platinium Card<br />
Discovery V90 modem and press More Info.
