IWF’s Appeal Increases, Attendance Grows Photos By Gary and Terry Miller Atlanta, GA–More than 975 companies, which is an increase over 2012 figures, scheduled exhibitor booths at the recent 2014 International Woodworking Fair (IWF), held here at the Georgia World Congress Center. IWF is recognized by many as the premiere event for introducing and selling various products, including manufacturing equipment, new technology and supplies. IWF has grown into the largest North American woodworking technology trade show and is held every other year. It occupies more than 365,000 net square feet of space. Additionally, IWF offers industry professionals multiple educational opportunities that empower companies to improve products and work efficiencies, expand product offerings and positively impact the bottom-line. This year’s symposium and educational sessions covered a broad range of many topics, including: paths to profitability in wood finishing; creating new woodworking products; social networking for kitchen and bath businesses; time management; and managing a multigenerational workforce. The IWF also hosted three large receptions throughout the four-day event, including the Challengers Distinguished Achievement Award reception, the opening night reception and the America’s International reception.
