Attendees were challenged on Fire Ridge’s Golf Digest “4 Star” 18-hole championship layout. There were 127 golf participants and 160 attended the LSLA banquet. Events that were planned for the day included the following: par three prize challenge, a putting contest, money ball, putt for dough, a cash shoot-out, a bucket raffle, individual cash prizes and individual hole events. Golf winners were: A Flight (1st place): John Kestly and Larry Freigang (Boehm Madisen Lumber Co.), Marlin Langworthy (Cascade Hardwood), and Mike Mitchell (Danzer Lumber) at -12. B Flight (1st place): Steve Everett, Gary LeMaster, Dennis LeMaster and Tom Nelson (Timber Creek Resource) at -2. C Flight (1st place): Dick Allmann, Steve Erickson, Scott Eschmann and Rick Dorman (Universal Forest Products – Warrens) at +2. Baillie Lumber Cash Shoot-Out: 1st place – John Carithers (Kendrick Forest Products), and 2nd place – Mike Peterson (Kretz Lumber).
