Wanneer ze vaders hersenspinsels naspeelt op de speelplaats,jaagt het kleine meisje haar schoolgenootjes schrik aan en wordt ze ondervraagddoor de schooldirectrice. In plaats van de misverstanden op te helderen, versterkende antwoorden van Zoë de vermoedens van de volwassenen. Door deze confrontatieconcludeert Zoë dat de wereld uit twee clans bestaat.
