Memory and sum function
All of the calculated components of the weighed foods can be added up in the scales‘ memory after entering
the respective food code.
To do this, press the “M+“ key before weighing and entering the food code in order to store the values calculated
by the scales. Successful storing is signalled by a long bleeping tone.
In order to call up the stored values, press the “MR“ key followed by the food key. The sum of all the already
stored values for each food is now displayed. The number of occupied storage places, i.e. the number of
stored foods is shown in the upper right of the display.
If no key is pressed within 5 seconds, the scales changes over automatically to weighing function.
For instance, in order to determine exactly how much has been eaten in a day, first, if appropriate, cancel the
memory from the previous day before weighing the first foods. To do this, press the “MC“ key. Store all foods
over the entire day in the scales as described above. These can then be recalled at the end of the day through
the “MR“ key and the food value keys.
Food items can be added up in the memory as long as the totals of the individual nutrients do not exceed
the maximum capacity of the five-figure display (e.g. 99999 kJ). In this case, the memory symbol “M“ flashes.
However, by regularly cancelling the memory, the capacity is only exceeded in very rare cases.
Example of the sum function:
Store 1:
Cal kJ BU Chol carbohydrates fat weight
5 22 0.4 0.5 mg 0.5 mg 0.7 g 33 g
Store 2:
Cal kJ BU Chol carbohydrates fat weight
8 35.2 0.3 1.9 mg 1.5 mg 2.7 g 123 g
Store 3:
Cal kJ BU Chol carbohydrates fat weight
9 39.6 0.2 0.4 mg 0.5 mg 0 g 232 g
By pressing the MR key, you will now get the total values of the individual memory stores:
Cal kJ BU Chol carbohydrates fat weight
22 96.8 0.9 2.8 mg 2.5 mg 3.4 g 388 g
