ABSTRACT<br />

This study was conducted in a bibliographic research on the emergence of the<br />

Arab Empire which had its constitution apartir the origin of Islam, being a<br />

society was founded by the prophet Muhammad. It was after the death of the<br />

Prophet Muhammad, Arabia was unified. From this union, driven by Islamic<br />

religious doctrine, began the expansion of the Arab empire. In addition to<br />

providing the concept of zero, zero in Roman numerals used until then, had ten<br />

symbols (0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9), providing a much simpler writing of<br />

numbers of the seven Roman symbols (I, V, X, L, C, D and M). Was itself the<br />

spelling of the Arabs that had befallen the Western Christian peoples of Europe<br />

from medieval Spain, before giving rise to the figures we know to<strong>da</strong>y. A full<br />

demonstration of the universality of Islam and brotherhood and equality among<br />

life, <strong>com</strong>ing from all over the world gather in Mecca . Thus when presented<br />

before the numbering forms and methods of calculation which came from India,<br />

<strong>com</strong>pilers of works Arabs, Greeks and Hindus flourished in Spain developing a<br />
