Multilayered tissue-engineered construct based on biodegradable and biocompatible materials for injured biliary tract repair

The design of bioengineered organs is still complicated by the quality and quantitative determination of biological factors for stimulating physiologically relevant conditions and inducing cellular-relevant media. We used a tissue-specific approach to select materials composition, biologics, and cells to develop a physiologically relevant construct based on biodegradable and biocompatible materials for injured biliary tract repair.
