ARILD'S DISTILLERY
In 2013 we began making our very own
distillation products. We use the pomace or
fermentation skins and pulp residues from
our wines to develop different distillates.
At the moment we have a small production
based on the grapes quantity, but as these
increase so will our Drufavec and other
spiced alcoholic beverages.
ARILDS BRENNEREI
Seit 2013 stellen wir unsere eigenen
Destillationsprodukte her. Wir nutzen
Überreste unseres Weins wie Trester,
Fermentationshäute oder Fruchtfleisch, um
verschiedene Destillate zu entwickeln. Bisher
haben wir aufgrund der Traubenquantität
nur eine geringe Menge produziert. Mit
dem Anstieg der Quantität werden wir die
Produktion unsers Drufavecs und anderer
gewürzten alkoholischen Getränken steigern.
Drufavec is made from our fermented
grape skins which are then distilled.
The distillation boiler has a column that you
choose to plug in or pass, when it is activated, the
alcohol becomes cleaner and the content of ethanol
increases. Our distillate has an average alcohol
content close to 80 percent - which is tough to
taste - but this is then diluted with water.
We have just launched a project together with a
local farm named Wapnö, which grows grains
and malt. They also provide us with weeds which
we then ferment, burn and the distillate is then
placed in our endured wine barrels. This will
become our whiskey!
The beverage must be stored for at least three
years to be called whiskey, but usually whiskey
is stored much longer. The project is a long-term
development work, but we are not in a hurry, it's
just exciting!
Here we describe our distillate, but according to
Swedish law, we cannot display pictures of the
Enthanolgehalt steigt.
