comparing Group I with Group II, in terms of recurrence, Group I had statistically high
recurrence rate (p=0.02) than Group II.
According to our study results, in the superficial bladder tumor, there was no
meaningful difference between 2 groups in terms of progression for intravesical mitomycin-C
and intravesical bacillus calmette-guerin treatments about the progression of tumor. Bacillus
calmette-guerin was seen more dominant in terms of recurrance. With these results, we
believe in that there is necessity for new and comprehensive studies when considering that
there is no consensus in the literature and there are very different results.
