Food and Agriculture Organization of United Nation with support of Government of Finland and in close<br />
cooperation with the Kosovo’s Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development is implementing a project<br />
aiming to support the implementation of the Forest Policy and Strategy in Kosovo adopted in 2010. The project<br />
aims at increasing the contribution of the forestry sector to the national economy through sustainable use of<br />
forest resources taking into account multipurpose forestry and including the economic, social and environmental<br />
benefi ts as well as its contribution to climate change mitigation. For the propose of successful implementation of<br />
the project activities the Food and Agriculture Organization of United Nation is advertising the<br />

for<br />
National Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist<br />
The National Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist will be in-charge to:<br />
In close cooperation with the International Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Expert, project team and<br />
relevant Government institutions, facilitate the development of Monitoring & Evaluation system related<br />
to the forestry sector of Kosovo in line with the project document and “Policy and Strategy Paper<br />
on Forestry Sector Development 2010-2020”<br />
Prepare jointly with International M&E Expert the draft work schedule for executing International expert<br />
missions, organize appointments and fi eld trips to working areas<br />
Assist the International Monitoring & Evaluation Expert in development of a M&E framework system for<br />
the forestry sector development in Kosovo;<br />
Collect relevant data for development of Monitoring and Evaluation system;<br />
Consult and review the project counterparts M&E practises; Contribute to determination of methodology<br />
and techniques for gathering the missing data;<br />
Organize and facilitate various meetings, workshops, seminars for forestry sector stakeholders related<br />
to development of Monitoring and Evaluation system;<br />
Follow up the recommendations and fi ndings from the missions of International Monitoring & Evaluation<br />
Expert, coordinate implementation and compliance of those with other project activities and<br />
expertise’s<br />
Ensure the continuation of recommended activities beyond the presence of the International experts;<br />
support especially the municipalities in the adoption of the M&E system(s)<br />
Liaise closely with the Institutional Development Experts, Information Technology Experts<br />
Qualifi cations and experience: University degree in forestry, law, economics, natural resources management,<br />
business administration or related discipline with a minimum of 5 years experience working in forestry sector,<br />
environment or related fi elds, experience in development of Monitoring and Evaluation systems. Good command<br />
of English, fl uency in Albanian and Serbian languages is required.<br />
Duty Station: Pristina (with in-country travel)<br />
Duration: 90 days in a period of until 31 December 2012<br />
