From 2000 onwards the biennial World Choir Games have brought together cultures and nations from all over the world to meet and sing together – meanwhile the event has established as the world’s largest international choir competition.
The biggest World Choir Games in the event’s history happened in 2014 in the Latvian capital Riga. A total of 27,000 participants from 73 nations came together to sing and celebrate a feast of choral music. The next World Choir Games 2016 will be held in the Russian Olympic City of Sochi and invite singers to experience original Olympic atmosphere in the Olympic Village from 2014.
All amateur choirs of the world are invited to head for a 11-day journey through the whole world of choral music at the World Choir Games 2016 and to perform in the competitions, in Friendship Concerts and to perform together on stage for huge singing projects.

Зал построен в 1979 году по проекту архитекторов В. Шульрихтера и И. Рябышевой. Представляет собой амфитеатр, окружающий со всех сторон сценическую площадку, где со всех мест (2500) открывается прекрасная панорама сцены (более 400 метров) и Черного моря. Concert Hall “Festivalny” is one of the best performance venues of Russia, where one can enjoy concerts of Russian and foreign stars, gala concerts and spectacular programs of various genres. The hall was built in 1979 and was designed by the architects V. Shulrikhter and I. Ryabisheva. It is an amphitheater which surrounds the stage (more than 400 meters) from all sides and from each of the 2,500 seats one has a marvelous view of the stage and of the Black sea as well. Здание «Зеленого театра» построено в 1959 году и рассчитано на 1600 зрителей. Парк «Ривьера» основан в 1898 году одним из ярких представителей московского купечества В.А. Хлудовым. Дендрологический состав парка - 240 видов и форм деревьев и кустарников, из которых 50 видов особо ценных и редких, представляющих природное и историческое наследие. На сцене «Зеленого театра» проходят многочисленные выступления профессиональных и самодеятельных коллективов, гастроли российских и зарубежных исполнителей. The Green Theater is an open-air summer concert stage located in Riviera Park of Culture and Leisure and was constructed in 1959 and was designed for up to 1,600 guests. Riviera Park was founded in 1898 by one of the brightest representatives of the Moscow merchant class, V.A. Khludov. The park consists of 240 different types and forms of trees and shrubbery, 50 types of which are especially valued and rare and represent the natural and historical heritage. Various performances of professional and amateur troupes as well as concert tours of Russian and foreign performers take place on the stage of the Green Theater.
