Biennale des Antiquaires
The Paris antique dealers biennial (La Biennale des Antiquaires)
has a special significance. The biennial is an exceptional event
gathering antique dealers looking for extraordinary pieces,
the biennial presents the top creative masterpieces of jewelry,
the biennial is also an occasion worth the wait to enjoy the
exhibition of collections of the world famous antique dealers
and top-notch jewelers.

The 27th exhibition of The Biennale des Antiquaires, premier
event of art and antiques from the fifties to the present, will be
held at the Grand Palais in Paris from September 11 – 21, 2014.
This year, the exhibition will honour The Gardens of Versailles,
the French Syndicat National des Antiquaires (SNA) chairman,
Christian Deydier invited the internationally renowned interior
designer Jacques Grange, with help from the gardeners of Château
de Versailles and Trianon to showcase a typical French garden.

Before the show, celebrities around the world will be gathered
for two dinners: on the 7th of September, a charity dinner at
Versailles with dishes elaborated by the prestigious French star
chef Michel Guérard. On the 9th of September, there will be 1500
celebrities expected to attend the Gala dinner of the Biennale des
Antiquaires. The dinner menu will be uniquely designed by the Ritz
hotel star chef Michel Roth. Dinner profits will be donated to the
Fondation Hôpitaux de Paris chaired by former French President
Jacques Chirac’s wife. The exhibition will raise the curtain on the
10th of September at the Grand Palais in Paris and will open to
the public on September, 11.

The Biennale des Antiquaires with SNA have the most stringent
regulatory and requirements of the “Object Admissions Committees”,
to ensure true quality of the displayed products. SNA takes in charge
the quality problems and the warranties. Many rare treasures are often
bought by celebrities before the public exhibition.
The number of Fine Jewellry Exhibitors increased from 10 to 14
compared to the previous year. Alexandre Reza, David Morris,
Giampiero Bodino and Graff Diamonds are the new brands to
attend the biennale. Hong Kong jewelry designer Wallace Chan,
Boucheron, Bulgari, Cartier, Chanel, Chaumet, Christian Dior,
Piaget, Siegelson and Van Cleef & Arpels are the ten brands
which were present at the Last exhibition and will continue to
bring stunning fine jewelry pieces this year.
