magnet in the upcoming school<br />
year. The program will provide students<br />

the standard curriculum by offering<br />
a comprehensive, cross-curricular<br />
exploration of careers. Students<br />
will participate in real-world, project-based<br />
activities that will bring<br />
STEAM concepts to life and develop<br />
21st century competencies like problem-solving,<br />
critical thinking and<br />

The first recipients of the Harris<br />
Rosen — Rollins College Scholarship<br />
were selected. The students are from<br />
the Tangelo Park and Parramore<br />
neighborhoods and will enter Rollins<br />
College this fall. One of the three<br />

the piano and drums. Under the<br />
agreement between The Harris Rosen<br />
compiled by Lauren Salinero Foundation and Rollins College, Rosen<br />
will fund the remainder of participating<br />
students’ costs of attendance<br />
at Rollins after the college applies<br />
available federal, state and internal<br />
financial-aid dollars. The students will<br />
take advantage of existing mentoring<br />
and other nonfinancial support in<br />
Rosen Foundation’s Tangelo Park and<br />
Parramore scholarship programs, in<br />
addition to experiencing the worldclass<br />
academic preparation, career<br />
planning and other support services<br />
at Rollins College.<br />
