Bars aNd CaFÉs
CAN-CAN is a traditional gay bar, not
too big, and with no attitude. The bartenders
are friendly, and it’s easy to
start a conversation with some of the
other guests.
CENTRALHJØRNET is one of the
oldest gay bar in Copenhagen, but
also one of the liveliest. Live entertainment
on most Thursdays and
Sundays between October and May.
JAILHOUSE has uniformed bartenders,
barred windows and small cells.
JERNBANECAFEEN is an authentic
Danish pub. It has a mixed-clientele
and is located next to the Central
Station.
KAFE KNUD is a nice café for HIV positives
and others affected by HIV.
MASKEN BAR is a two-storey bar
that attracts both young and mature
men, as well as lesbian customers.
The atmosphere is very easy-going,
and especially during the weekend,
it’s very crowded on both floors.
OSCAR is a gay bar and café, with
a nice outdoor area for sunny afternoons
and warm evenings.

COSY BAR is a busy dance bar, open
every night of the week – in the weekend
till very late in the morning.
JOHNNIE ROCCO arranges monthly
gay parties at Kifak in the Meatpacking
district at Vesterbro.

and nightclubs in Denmark. But if

AMIGO SAUNA is Copenhagen’s largest
gay sauna covering 800 square
metres on three floors.
COPENHAGEN GAY CENTER is a
porn shop and a gay sauna. Webshop
at copenhagengaycenter.dk.
MEN’S SHOP in Vesterbro, or online
at mensshop.dk, has a large selection
of sex toys, lubricants, porn films, underwear,
calendars, books, guides
and non-porn films.
SLM – Scandinavian Leather Men –
has a large darkroom and sex labyrinth,
