connections so that you can run SSL from your browser (https) to your i5/OS system and use
SSL to manage other i5/OS systems through your main system.
Optionally, you might consider using the AFP browser plug-in to view printer output from
the printer output tasks. This is handy for viewing/printing job logs and other printer output. It is
available for download from the iSeries Navigator Web site at ibm.com/eserver/iseries/navigator.
Other iSeries Navigator Tasks for the Web enhancements. InV5R4, iSeries Navigator Tasks
for the Web also provides the following improvements:
• You can control access to the tasks through Application Administration.
• You can connect your browser to a single i5/OS system and manage other i5/OS systems
simply by updating the target system in the URL. (Notice the "system=" parameter in the
URL mentioned earlier. You can change the default to any V5R3 or V5R4 system and
access that system.)
• It is easier to create browser favorites to your favorite tasks. Go to the 2001 port and give
the wizard a try.
• iSeries Navigator Tasks for the Web now shows context menu links for all objects in the
table without having to preselect the row, allowing for instant access to the tasks for the
object you care about.
