Erinnerungen im September 2012
unter dem Pseudonym Mark Owen
veröffentlichte, schilderte sogar die
(völkerrechtswidrige) Tötung eines
Wehrlosen: “We saw the man lying
on the floor at the foot of his bed.
(…) The point man’s shots had entered
the right side of his head. Blood
and brains spilled out of the side
of his skull. In his death throes, he
was still twitching and convulsing.
Another assaulter and I trained our
lasers on his chest and fired several
rounds. The bullets tore into him,
slamming his body into the floor until
he was motionless.” (Mark Owen, No
Easy Day (2012), S. 236.Kurz darauf
stellte sich nach den Schilderungen
dieses Autors heraus, dass Osama
bin Laden nicht nur im Moment des
Angriffs auf ihn unbewaffnet war,
sondern dass die Waffen, die nach
seiner Erschießung in seinem Raum
aufgefunden wurden, ungeladen waren
(a.a.O., S. 248/249). Bei diesem
Einsatz sollen die US-Spezialkräfte
zudem zwei weitere Bewohner des
Hauses getötet haben, die ebenfalls
selbst nach den Regeln des humanitären
Völkerrechts nicht angegriffen
werden durften – eine unbewaffnete
Frau sowie einen Mann, der zuvor
durch Schüsse verletzt und dadurch
offenbar angriffsunfähig geworden

al-Kuwaiti was wounded and struggling
on the floor. Just as they opened
fire again, his wife Bushra jumped in
the way to shield him. The second
burst of rounds killed both of them.“
