Die Hilti Foundation ist eine gemeinnützige Stiftung, die sich
über Zuwendungen aus dem Martin Hilti Familien Trust und der
Hilti Gruppe finanziert.
Diese Unabhängigkeit von externen Geldgebern ermöglicht es,
unbürokratisch, flexibel und offensiv im Rahmen des eigenen
Fokus Hilfe zu leisten. So förderte die Hilti Foundation im
Berichtsjahr weltweit 14 wesentliche Projekte mit insgesamt
CHF 8,492 Mio.
Mit der Förderung von Kulturprojekten nimmt die Hilti Foundation
bewusst einen Bildungsauftrag wahr und will damit
möglichst viele Menschen in ihrer persönlichen Entwicklung
unterstützen. Entsprechend entfiel fast die Hälfte der Fördermittel
(CHF 4,119 Mio.) auf den kulturellen Bereich.
Mit den weiteren Aufwendungen engagierte sich die Hilti Foundation
für die Lösung konkreter sozialer und gesellschaftlicher
Probleme in den Bereichen Bezahlbarer Wohnraum (CHF 1,551
Mio.), Gesellschaftliche Entwicklung (CHF 0,421 Mio.), Katastrophenhilfe
(CHF 1,083 Mio.), Bildung (CHF 0,733 Mio.) und
Soziales Unternehmertum (CHF 0,585 Mio.).
Für das kommende Jahr sind Projektzuwendungen im gleichen
Umfang geplant. Oberstes Ziel dabei ist es, die eingesetzten
Fördermittel noch zielbewusster einzusetzen, sodass möglichst
vielen Menschen langfristig ein selbstbestimmtes Leben ermöglicht
werden kann.
The Hilti Foundation is a charitable foundation financed through
contributions from the Martin Hilti Family Trust as well as Hilti
Group.
This independence from external financing makes it possible to
provide help flexibly, proactively, without bureaucracy and within
the framework of the Foundation’s focus. Hence, the Hilti Foundation
funded 14 major projects around the world with a total of
CHF 8.492 million in the financial year 2011.
Through promoting cultural projects, the Hilti Foundation is
consciously pursuing an educational mandate and therefore
aiming to provide support to as many people as possible with
their individual development. Accordingly, roughly half of the
project contributions (CHF 4.119 million) were incurred in the
cultural sector.
With the other expenditures, the Hilti Foundation strived to
solve specific social and humanitarian problems in the areas of
affordable housing (CHF 1.551 million), community development
(CHF 0.421 million), disaster relief (CHF 1.083 million), education
(CHF 0.733 million) and social entrepreneurship (CHF 0.585
million).
The Hilti Foundation estimates project expenditures for the
coming year of a similar amount. At the same time, the overriding
objective is to utilize the designated project contributions
even more purposefully, paving the way for as many people as
possible to live a self-determined life in the long run.
