New General Manager<br />
for <strong>Waldner</strong> India<br />

The Liaison Office <strong>Waldner</strong> India was set up in July<br />
2009, with a total of eight people based in India to<br />
look after this market. The Sales Office in Mumbai<br />
is now complete with the appointment in July of the<br />
new General Manager – Christian Martin.<br />

Zum Team <strong>Waldner</strong> India gehören zudem noch der Technische<br />
Zeichner Vinod Parma und Ashish Shetty, der die<br />
Aufgabe des Office Managers übernimmt. Sogar zwei eigene<br />
<strong>Waldner</strong> Monteure beschäftigt das indische Liaison Office.<br />
Somit ist <strong>Waldner</strong> India jetzt gut aufgestellt, um ein ehrgeiziges<br />
Ziel zu erreichen: Marktführerschaft auf dem<br />
indischen Markt. Um den Namen <strong>Waldner</strong> im Markt mehr<br />
und mehr zu etablieren, sind wir deshalb auf vielen landesweiten<br />
Messen präsent und haben im Februar zum ersten<br />
Mal eine <strong>Waldner</strong> Konferenz in Mumbay organisiert. Zum<br />
Thema „Existing and future concepts for chemical and<br />
pharmaceutical laboratories“ waren Architekten, Laborplaner,<br />
Laboranten, Wissenschaftler und Einkäufer eingeladen<br />
– also alle, die mit einer Laboreinrichtung in Berührung<br />
kommen können. Die Veranstaltung war ein voller Erfolg:<br />
50 Gäste konnte das Team um Narendra Giri im Mariott<br />
Hotel in Mumbai begrüßen. Dieses Erfolgsrezept werden wir<br />
nun weiter ausbauen und noch mehr <strong>Waldner</strong> Symposien in<br />
Bangalore, Hyderabad oder Ahmadabad veranstalten.<br />
Christian Martin took over his new role as General<br />
Manager of <strong>Waldner</strong> India at the beginning<br />
of July 2011 and is now managing the sales team<br />
in India primarily from Wangen. The new General<br />
Manager of the Liaison Office <strong>Waldner</strong> in Mumbai<br />
is responsible for acquiring projects throughout<br />
India together with his Indian team. Christian<br />
Martin has been with <strong>WALDNER</strong> Laboreinrichtungen<br />
in Germany for over 7 years and has been<br />
responsible for India for 3 years.<br />
A key pillar of the Indian team is Narendra Giri,<br />
who, as "Vice President Sales and Projects", will<br />
be taking over project sales, as well as local project<br />
management including coordination of local<br />
purchasing. The <strong>Waldner</strong> India team also consists<br />
of the Technical Draughtsman Vinod Parma, and<br />
Ashish Shetty, who takes over the role of Office<br />
Manager. The Indian Liaison Office also employs<br />
two in-house fitters.<br />
