ATP Studena Croatia Open has the reputation
as one of the most interesting professional
male tornaments of the ATP World Tour 250
class. It is confirmed by the Awards of Excellence
that the Umag tournament has obtained
from the ATP on several occasions. Spain’s
legendary opera diva Montserrat Caballé is
going to make the opening of the 22nd ATP
Studena Croatia Open an even grander occasion
by performing at the Stella Maris stadium
on July 23. With that, the Umag tournament
will confirm its status of the central social
event this summer in Croatia. With more than
70 000 visitors of the ATP tournament, Umag
invariably becomes a summer center of tennis,
beauty and entertainment, as well as the
tastes and smells of Istria. During her long
and impressive career Montserrat Caballé has
sung in over eighty opera roles, from baroque
opera to Verdi, Wagner, Puccini and Strauss. La
Superba - as Montserrat Caballé is known -
will perform in Umag as part of the ATP Umag
Party Nights Program, which will last from July
21 until July 31.

professionellen Männerturnire in Europa in
der Klasse ATP World Tour 250. Das bestätigt
auch die Auszeichnung für die Vorzüglichkeit
„Award of Exellence“, die dem Umager Turnier
mehrmals von ATP zugeteilt wurde. Die
weltbekannte spanische Operndiva Montserrat
Caballé wird mit ihrem Auftritt auf dem ATP-
Stadion die Eröffnung des 22. Turniers ATP
Studena Croatia Open an dem 23. Juli verherrlichen,
womit das Umager Turnier den Status
des Hauptgesellschaftsereignisses in diesem
Sommer in Kroatien bestätigt. La Superba -
wie aus Verehrung diese Diva genannt wurde -
wird in Umag im Rahmen des ATP Umag Party
Nights Programm auftreten, das von dem 21.
bis zu dem 31. Juli dauert. Diesjähriges ATP
Studena Croatia Open Turnier bietet in 11
Tagen der Veranstaltung neben Spitzentennis
auch das reiche Musik-, Gastronomie und Unterhaltungsprogramm
an.
Avantgarde Jazz
Festival Rovinj
This season the Avantgarde Jazz
Festival will gather some of the
greatest names of the world jazz
scene and give both domestic
and international audience the
pleasure of listening to music at
prestigious locations in Rovinj.
In July, the audience can expect
three great jazz concerts.
The first will be held on 1 July in
hotel Monte Mulini by the New
Gary Burton Quartet led by Gary
Burton, the musician who has introduced
the style of four-mallet
technique in vibraphone playing
and popularised duet format in
jazz. A week after the New Gary
Burton Quartet, on 8 July, one of
the most famous pop and R&B
singers, a top jazz guitarist and
multiple Grammy winner, George
Benson will give a concert in the
ex Tobacco factory. Return to Forever
IV, the leading group of the
1970’s jazz fusion movement led
by Chick Corea, will perform on
17 July on the meadow of hotel
Eden.

und internationalen Publikum,
den Genuss in Jazz auf
den schönsten Plätzen in Rovinj

Es handelt sich um den Jazzstar,
der Vibraphonstil mit vier
Stäben der Welt vorgestellt und
Duettformat in Jazz popularisiert
hat. Eine Woche danach, an dem
8. Juli in der Ex-Tabakfabrik in Rovinj
wird sich das Konzert eines
der bekanntesten Pop und R&B
Stars, aber auch des Spitzenjazzgitarristen
und des mehrfachen
Grammy-Gewinners George
Benson stattfinden, während die
führende Gruppe der Jazzfusion-
Bewegung der Siebzigerjahren
„Return to Forever IV“ mit Chick
Corea an dem 17. Juni auf dem
Gelände des Hotels Eden auftreten
wird.
