Aim
• to creat an institution to investigate the behaviours of groups
that were unequal in terms of power, status & resources.
Summary of Reicher and Haslam’s Aims:
• collect data on the development of social interactions
between groups of unequal power
• analyse the conditions under which people
(i) define themselves in terms of group memberships
(ii) accept or challenge group inequalities
• To measure the social, Organizational and clinical effects of
the study on the participants.
• develop an ethical framework for examining social
psychological issues
