Studentship/Graduate Teaching Assistantship in European Gender History<br />

University of D<strong>und</strong>ee History Programme<br />
Applications are invited for a PhD studentship in European Gender History, with a value of<br />
£12,000 per annum bursary plus a fee waiver (at UK/EU rate). Fixed term for three years.<br />
The successful candidate will pursue research leading to a PhD in the history of one of the following<br />
areas:<br />
- nineteenth and twentieth century Italy, Russia, France and Germany,<br />
- early modern Spain, Italy or Netherlands.<br />
The successful candidate will be enrolled on the European Doctorate in Gender History which<br />
offers transnational supervision and a semester hosted by a partner university in Italy, Spain,<br />
France or Austria. He/she will be expected to <strong>und</strong>ertake teaching duties of not normally more<br />
than five contact hours per week for tutorials on first and second year European History<br />
courses.<br />
