The ISPO World <strong>Congress</strong> will be closing with a summary<br />
of the event by the ISPO President and the<br />
Brian Blatchford Prize, Forchheimer Prize, Yeongchi<br />
Wu Prize and Best Paper Prize being awarded. The<br />
final item on the agenda is the national ISPO society<br />
announcing the 2013 venue and inviting everyone<br />
to attend.<br />
Awards<br />
The Brian Blatchford Prize<br />
was established by the Blatchford family to honour<br />
the memory of Brian Blatchford. This £ 2,500 prize is<br />
awarded every three years at the ISPO World <strong>Congress</strong><br />
to an individual with an outstanding record<br />
of innovative achievement in the field of prosthetics<br />
and/or orthotics.<br />
The Forchheimer Prize<br />
was established by the Forchheimer family to honour<br />
the memory of Sylvia and Alfred Forchheimer. The<br />
prize is awarded for the most outstanding paper on<br />
objective clinical assessment, clinical evaluation, or<br />
clinical measurement published in “Prosthetics and<br />
Orthotics International” during the three years prior<br />
to the <strong>Congress</strong>.<br />

Der ISPO Weltkongress schließt mit einem Resümee<br />
des ISPO-Präsidenten und der feierlichen Verleihung<br />
von Brian-Blatchford-Preis, Forchheimer-Preis, Yeongchi-Wu-Bildungspreis<br />
und die Best-Paper-Preise.<br />
Der letzte Programmpunkt ist die Vorstellung des<br />
Veranstaltungsortes 2013 durch die nationale ISPO-<br />
Gesellschaft und die Einladung zur Teilnahme.<br />
Auszeichnungen<br />
Brian-Blatchford-Preis<br />
Der Preis wurde von der Familie Blatchford zum Gedenken<br />
an Brian Blatchford ins Leben gerufen. Die mit<br />
2.500 £ dotierte Auszeichnung wird alle drei Jahre auf<br />
dem ISPO Weltkongress für eine außergewöhnliche,<br />
innovative Einzelleistung auf dem Gebiet der Prothetik<br />
oder Orthetik verliehen.<br />
Forchheimer-Preis<br />
Der Preis wurde von der Familie Forchheimer zum Gedenken<br />
an Sylvia und Alfred Forchheimer ins Leben gerufen.<br />
Er wird für einen innerhalb der zurückliegenden<br />
drei Jahre vor dem Kongress in der Zeitschrift „Prosthetics<br />
and Orthotics International” veröffentlichten<br />
außergewöhnlichen Artikel über objektive klinische<br />
Begutachtung, klinische Bewertung oder klinische<br />
Messung verliehen.
