This course encourages students to
use and to explore the target language
of English through a close
look at what internet media, music,
DVDs, and the world of arts have to
offer to enliven our lives and
encourage public and private discourse.
We will take tea and cups of
coffee while taking turns leading
and sharing. Through this course
our common vocabulary in our
interest areas will be expanded
while confidence grows.

educational vacations than others.
This course works on planning and
carrying out a great holiday while
using the target language and
remaining culturally sensitive. The
course includes hours of sharing or
reporting on the target
country.The class participants are
committed to the pre-trip educational
goals and the goal of using
the target language on the holiday.
This will involve taking turns leading
at varying phrases. Costs,
budgeting, planning, preparing,
and carrying out the holiday program
are to be carried out in
English.

The CPE is a widely-recognised qualification
and shows employers and
international organisations that a
high standard of spoken and written
English has been achieved. Similarly,
many institutions and universities
require the certificate as a proof that
students will be able to follow their
courses.
In this course listening, speaking,
reading and writing will all be practised
at a high level and in a small
group. We will also work on improving
techniques to pass the examination.
The examination is optional,
and participants who do not wish to
take the test are also welcome.
