Montanwerke Brixlegg AG is the only copper
producer in Austria and is specialized in recycling
copper and other valuable metals
from copper scrap as well as other coppercontaining
secondary materials.
The copper smelter Brixlegg works with
state-of-the-art technology in the fi eld of
copper recycling and the associated copper
refi ning. All resulting products - cathodes
made from highly purifi ed copper, billets
and slabs made from high-grade copper,
copper oxychloride, nickel sulphate and metal
oxides - are known all over the world for
their excellent quality. They are used as source
material for many different application
areas such as the electrical industry, construction
industry, mechanical and plant
engineering, the high-tech sector as well as
electroplating and agriculture. The “BRX”
brand is internationally well known, with an
export rate of more than 80%. Since 2002
Montanwerke Brixlegg AG also owns Kovohuty
Krompachy a.s., a copper smelter in
Slovakia.

Die Montanwerke Brixlegg AG ist auf die
Wiedergewinnung von Kupfer und anderen
Wertmetallen aus Kupferschrotten sowie
sonstigen kupferhaltigen Sekundärmaterialien

in Österreich.
Die Kupferhütte Brixlegg ist auf dem Gebiet
des Kupferrecyclings und der damit verbundenen

Produkte – Kathoden aus hochreinem
Kupfer, Rundbolzen und Walzplatten aus
Reinstkupfer, Edelmetalle, Granos (Eisensilikatschlacke),
Kupferoxychlorid, Nickelsulfat
und Metalloxide – sind weltweit für ihre exzellente
Qualität bekannt und dienen als
Ausgangsmaterial für verschiedenste Anwendungsbereiche,
etwa in der Elektroindustrie,
Bauindustrie, im Maschinen- und Anlagenbau,
