In this education project we use the theme of
play to focus on self awareness and boosting
the personal development of the children and
young people taking part. This is done through
the medium of dance, which is inextricably
linked to physicality and can therefore be
experienced directly and intuitively. To this
end, we take time during our education project
workshops to get to know our bodies and
encourage the young people to focus on their
own bodies through play.
The result of this ongoing work is presented
to the public in the foyer of the Grosse Bühne.
Just as play is an expression of humankind and
its culture, the project also gives children a
playful insight into one of the major cultural
institutions in their city. In this way, art originates
in a «playground» in which the actors of
today are trained to become the audience of
tomorrow. This is the 8th education project
for school pupils and students in collaboration
with Ballett Basel.
In diesem Education Projekt wollen wir über
das Thema «Spiel» die Selbstwahrnehmung
und Stärkung der Persönlichkeitsentwicklung
der teilnehmenden Kinder und Jugendlichen
fokussieren. Eine Annäherung geschieht
durch den Tanz, der immer an Körperlichkeit
gebunden und damit hautnah und unmittelbar
erfahrbar ist. Dementsprechend nehmen wir
uns in den Workshops unserer Education Projekte
Zeit für Körperwissen und fokussieren
die jungen Menschen spielerisch auf ihren
eigenen Körper. Das Ergebnis dieser nachhaltigen
Arbeit wird im Foyer der Grossen Bühne
der Öffentlichkeit vorgestellt. So wie das Spiel
Ausdruck des Menschseins und seiner Kultur
ist, erhalten die Kinder gleichzeitig einen spielerischen
Einblick in eine der grössten Kulturinstitutionen
ihrer Stadt. So gesehen entsteht
Kunst auf einem «Spielplatz», auf dem die
Akteure von heute zum Publikum von morgen
herangebildet werden. Dies ist das 8. Education
Projekt mit Schülern und Studenten in
Zusammenarbeit mit dem Ballett Basel.
