Zwei Kameras stehen sich in Ost-West-Ausrichtung
gegenüber. Eine auf dem Boden markierte
Kreislinie mit einem Durchmesser von 15 Metern
ist in 360°- Abschnitte eingeteilt. Innerhalb des
Kreises stehen eine kreisförmige Bank, eine
Straßenlaterne, ein Hydrant, ein Baum, weiter
innen, fast im Zentrum, ein paar Pflanzen, Erde,
Staub, ein wenig Müll, Efeu.
Während der Aufnahmen werden die Kameras
im Uhrzeigersinn jeweils um ein Grad auf der
Kreislinie bewegt, so dass sowohl die Entfernung
als auch die Achse der Kameras zueinander
stabil bleiben. Beide Kameras nehmen
auf diese Weise alle vier Minuten ein Bild auf
und den dazugehörigen Ton mit einer Dauer
von 0.04 Sekunden. Dies geschieht in vierundzwanzig
Stunden dreihundertsechzig Mal,
bis die Kameras sich wieder in der Ausgangsposition
befinden. Daraus ergibt sich ein Film
mit einer Länge von vierzehn Sekunden und
zehn Frames. Dieser kurze »Animations« -Film
ist Ausgangspunkt einer Endlosschleife, die
auf zwei voneinander abgewandten Monitoren
abgespielt wird. Die Monitore werden in der
Ausstellungssituation von der Decke abgehängt
und befinden sich in durchschnittlicher Augenhöhe.
Die Entfernung der Monitore zueinander
spiegelt relativ zum Ausstellungsraum die Aufnahmesituation
wider.
Two cameras face each other in the east-west-

alignment. On the ground, there is a circular line
with a diameter of 15 meters, divided into segments
of 360 degrees. Within the circle, there
is a circular bench, a street-lamp, a hydrant, a
tree, further inwards, almost in the centre, a few
plants, soil, dust, a bit of rubbish, ivy.
During the shootings, the cameras are moved
clockwise one degree on the circular line, so that
the distance as well as the axis of the camera to
each other remain stable. Both cameras take a
picture every four minutes, recording the sound
as well. The duration of the individual picture
is 0.04 seconds. This happens 360 times in 24
hours, until the cameras are again in the original
position. The result is a film of 14 seconds
and 10 frames. This short animated film is the
starting point of an endless loop, which is shown
on two monitors. These are turned away from
each other. In the exhibition, the monitors are
taken from the ceiling and are positioned at the
average eye-level. The distance of the monitors
from each other mirrors, relative to the exhibition-room,
the situation of the recording.
