RETOURAMONT
Geneviève Mazin and Fabrice Guillot founded the
dance company Retouramont in 1995. Based on his
training as a professional mountaineer he extended
the dance vocabulary in his choreographies for
Retouramont. In the recent years the dance com-
pany performed in urban spaces all over the world
with their “vertical dances”, an artistic mix of
acrobatics, tightrope walking and modern dance. In
their multimedia performances shadows and pro-
jections become a corresponding part of the
choreographies.
LICHTSTROEME Work: Site-specific Adaption of
the Choreography „Dance of the Caryatides“
Multimedia Performance
For the courtyard of the Fortress Ehrenbreitstein, the
company Retouramont developed a site-specific
choreography referring to the architectural features
of the site. For five dancers and acrobats the facades
became play grounds and their appearance was
continuously changed by shadow and video projections.
